Millennium Fountain
The fountain, sometimes known as a water-sculpture, was created by sculptor Dan Kainz of Pennsylvania. A committee of Elmhurst residents and city employees selected the design from seventeen entries. The artist's concept statement in part said, "Unlike a traditional fountain, this sculpture is designed to be interactive and approachable. My intent is to provide a sensory experience..." It was dedicated in 2002.
