Bird City Saint

Sentrock's Bird City Saint was added to the museum's exterior on the occasion of the artist's first solo museum show. The exhibition revealed for the first time the origin story of his distinctive character which appears in prominent murals throughout Chicago including special commissions by the City of Chicago, Chicago Fire, National Geographic, and more. The Pilsen-based Sentrock views street art as a gesture of compassion for his community and a powerful form of expression that encapsulates his Mexican American background, upbringing, and history. His signature bird mask is a means to express personal expression, strength, and hope.

This piece of Public Art changes yearly with new exhibits.

Location: 150 S. Cottage Ave, in Elmhurst. Northeast Corner of the Art Museum.
