"Elmhurst Remembers" Memorial

Location: East side of Spring Road, just north of the Illinois Prairie Path

The memorial consists of a large black granite monument engraved with a map of the United Staes with stars indicating the three sites where the events of 9-11 occurred.  A comtemplation garden and a flag are part of the memorial.  Money for the memorial was raised by donations from residents, businesses and organizations.  The memorial was dedicated on September 11, 2004.
