The Elmhurst American Legion T.H.B. Post 187

Since being chartered in September 1919, our American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today we continue to welcome all qualified military personnel service or have served The United States of America. Post 187 serves our God, Country and Elmhurst. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams peace and blessings for our country, friends and families.

Post 187 raises money to sponsor college scholarships for graduating seniors at York, Timothy Christian and Immaculate Conception High Schools and give aid and assistance to Elmhurst veterans and their families. We work closely with VA Hospitals and clinics to arrange medical aid to VETERANS who need assistance.

Post 187 is open to the public. We serve wonderful daily lunches. They are tasty. The post's chef is a Culinary Institute of America graduate. On Saturdays Post 187 sponsors all you can eat lunches and quarterly buffets.

Every Friday the post puts out a great All You Can Eat Fish Fry with live band entertainment!!!
