Power of Children: Pop-Up Gallery Performances

Sundays, September 8, 15, 22 and 29
Time: 2:00 p.m.  Cost: FREE
Location: Elmhurst History Museum, 1st Floor Gallery
Visit the Power of Children exhibit in the first floor gallery and see it interpreted through a brief (10-15 minute) museum theatre experience by performers from GreenMan Theatre Troupe. Each moving vignette will be followed by a Q&A session with the actor. Drop-in program, children must be accompanied by an adult.

September 15: A Marshal's Perspective (the Marshall who escorted Ruby Bridges to school)
September 22: Heather (Ryan White's best friend)
September 29: The Longest Night (Miep Gies, protector of the Frank family)

The Power of Performance with GreenMan Theatre Troupe

Location: Elmhurst History Museum Education Center
Registration Required: Online at Eventbrite
Building on the September series of pop-up gallery performances, GreenMan Theatre Troupe returns to bring the Power of Children exhibit to to life on stage through dramatic scenes that evoke the characters encountered in the exhibit. Meet Otto and Anne Frank, Ryan White, and others as they share their stories and expand on the exhibit's powerful messages. Don't miss this very special performance!

Model Railroad Madness!

Location: Elmhurst History Museum Education Center
All aboard for a special day dedicated to train fun! Families are invited to drop in to meet local model train enthusiasts and collectors from Chicagoland T-Trak. See their innovative track layouts and learn about the hobby and how model trains work. No registration required. All ages welcome!
